This jacket was excellent quality and so glad its eco friendly. GoreTex, while amazing is disastrous for the planet. Sadly i couldnt keep it as the fit is a bit too big. I would love a 'slim fit' version given i'm a thin person. Ideal if you want to layer up under it, but does feel a bit big.
I’d read review after review before settling on the Stormbird. I’d kept it in my tabs forever, planning to get it ‘one day’ then spotted that it was now available in French Blue so bit the bullet and ordered.
I’m a slim/medium build 5’8 and bought a small and it’s as if it’s been made for me. (Knowing the model’s build makes such a difference when buying online). Like others I bought in good weather so haven’t given it a try in the rain but in every other aspect it’s 10/10. Feels superior to any other rain coat I’ve worn before, well built and a luxurious feel. The colour is a showstopper too, so glad I didn’t go for black as planned.
The eco credentials and small touches like compostable bags add up. Very very pleased with it.
Have got a number of Finisterre jackets now and this is another stylish coat that does the technical bit as well!
