Description

It's better when it's wetter. Using the same high performance waterproof fabric as our Rainbird jackets, the unisex NHM Poncho is designed to handle the worst the weather can throw your way, but that's not all. As well as a large front pouch pocket to keep your valuables safe, the poncho has 6 handy loops which allow it to be pinned down as a tarp - perfect for setting up temporary shelter when out adventuring or battening down the hatches while sat watching the waves from the cliffs.

Part of the NHM + Finisterre collection celebrating the resilience of nature and a shared passion to protect the natural world, the poncho features beautiful cyanotype images of British Algae by pioneering photographer and botanist Anna Atkins.

A Photographic Pioneer

A Photographic Pioneer

Our exclusive print design from the Natural History Museum features a Cyanotype, also known as “blue print” - one of the first ways of making a photographic image. English botanist and photographer, Anna Atkins (1799-1871) captured beautiful cyanotype prints of British algae and is credited as the first person ever to illustrate a book using photographic images.
