A Photographic Pioneer

A Photographic Pioneer

Our exclusive print design from the Natural History Museum features a Cyanotype, also known as “blue print” - one of the first ways of making a photographic image. English botanist and photographer, Anna Atkins (1799-1871) captured beautiful cyanotype prints of British algae and is credited as the first person ever to illustrate a book using photographic images.

For the price there are much better options

The design is beautiful and the product is very well made. However, for the same price, there are much better options out there. Also, they are quite small...much smaller than I expected, but that's my fault for not double checking the dimensions. Their usefulness will be very much limited by their size.
