VEJA + Finisterre Field Report

To mark the launch of our collab with VEJA, we gathered a group of likeminded souls in the wilds of north Cornwall, to put the shoes through their paces. Read on for a Finisterre Field Report - through the eyes of actor, model, and our friend Harrison Osterfield - celebrating the release of our most responsible and transparently made footwear to date.

What a day...

This trip brought together a community of people who genuinely love the coast, the outdoors, and a slower way of living – and Kudhva was the perfect backdrop for it. Having no phone service felt like a proper reset; everyone was fully present, sharing stories, passions, and maybe one too many Negronis around the fire.

Two people walking in a lush, green forest with intertwining branches above.

As we got ready for the hike we realised almost everyone had picked the same green Finisterre raincoat, which made for a very stylish scout group, picking its way through the forest. But by the evening, as the layers came off and everyone settled by the fire, you started to see each person’s personality shine through from beneath the mix of Finisterre kit.

Every part of the Kudhva site felt like its own chapter. Homemade hummus sandwiches on the cliffside, a wood-fired hot tub under the stars, and morning crêpes over the bonfire in camp. The hike through the temperate rainforest to the cliffs was the ultimate test for the VEJA + Finisterre Fitz Roys that we were kindly given (and they lived up to the challenge).

We were only there for 24 hours, but it felt longer. The kind of trip that makes me want to slow down, reconnect, and start planning the next one back to Cornwall.
