2025 Report Coming Soon

Our Impact

We seek to build the best product for an inspired life in and around the ocean, tell stories that stir the human spirit, and use our business to drive change.

Since 2020, we’ve used our Impact Report to reflect honestly on our work — what we’ve achieved and where we know we can do better — before sharing it with our community. It’s how we take stock, set our direction, and hold ourselves to account, while recognising the efforts and achievements of our crew along the way.

At the core of it all are our founding commitments to product, environment and people, shaping how we work and where we focus.

Here’s a snapshot of our impact highlights. To dive deeper into our progress and what’s behind it, read the full report and let us know your feedback.

Product

Working to create hard-wearing, fit-for-purpose products with traceable sourcing and circular design principles.

Our Approach to Circularity

Moving beyond the traditional take–make–waste model, we keep products in use through care, repair, resale and rental, while improving material sourcing and end-of-life recovery.

Our Preferred Materials

In 2025, we published our Preferred Materials Framework, formalising a long-standing approach to sourcing lower-impact materials and improving transparency, consistency and accountability in our decisions.

From Old Nets to New Adventures

From Old Nets to New Adventures

Through our partnership with Bureo®, 1.6 tonnes of fishing nets were diverted from the ocean by the end of 2025 and transformed into NetPlus® recycled yarn.

Environment

Reducing our impact as we grow by cutting waste, emissions and resource use, while supporting ocean protection and restoration.

Rethinking Packaging

In 2025, in collaboration with Living Ink™, we introduced algae-based ink swing tags, repurposing over 25 kg of microalgae into pigment.

Our Carbon Footprint

Around 85% of our carbon footprint comes from raw materials and processing, highlighting where we can make the biggest difference by improving material choices and supply chain practices.

Supporting Our Ocean Partners

In 2025, we donated over £40,000 to our Ocean Partners - supporting Surfers Against
Sewage, Surfrider Foundation, Oceana UK,
Thames21 and Project Seagrass.

People

Empowering our team, supporting workers across our supply chain, and using our platform to drive positive social change.

The Finisterre Foundation CIC

In 2025, we donated over £31,000 in cash and gear to the Finisterre Foundation CIC, helping remove barriers to ocean access and enabling more people to benefit from it.

Time Given Back

Time Given Back

With up to three paid volunteering days each per year, our team contributed 334 hours in 2025, supporting causes from beach cleans and tree planting to lifesaving work with the RNLI.

The People Behind Our Products

From raw material to finished garment, every Finisterre product reflects many hands and a complex supply chain, underpinned by our commitment to human rights and worker wellbeing.
