Since 2003 we have committed to making product that is fit-for-purpose and built to last. That’s why we offer a guarantee covering materials, manufacturing and workmanship defects. For everything else, our Lived and Loved repairs service is here to help keep your gear going for longer.
Our guarantee is designed to support the original purchaser if your product develops a genuine fault. To reduce our impact, we will always try and avoid throwing anything away – so we prioritise repairs over replacements wherever possible.
If we can't repair it, we'll replace it. And if we can’t replace it, we’ll refund you. To help your gear last as long as possible, we encourage you to follow our online care guidelines, tailored to each product category. Taking good care of your kit can make all the difference; preserving performance, increasing longevity and helping to keep your guarantee valid.
Please note that this guarantee is provided in addition to your legal rights under UK consumer law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. It does not replace or limit any statutory rights you may have in relation to faulty or misdescribed goods.
What is covered?
- Zip faults
- Stitching or construction faults
- Fabric or material failures
- Taped seam failures
- Faulty fastenings/hardware components (e.g., Velcro, buttons, snaps)
- Misaligned details (e.g. pockets)
What's not covered?
- Accidents, or damage from animals or insects
- Incorrect use, misuse or neglect of the product
- Normal wear and tear, such as scuffs, scratches, abrasions, colour fading due to UV exposure, cuts, stains, holes, and minor pilling
- Burns, fire damage, or impact damage
- Failure to follow care and wash instructions (including shrinkage or discolouration)
- Improper fastening or use of features like zips, buttons, or pull cords
- Improper storage leading to material damage
- Alterations or repairs performed by anyone other than Finisterre
- Purchase of pre-loved and second-hand gear, or products with known faults such as our Avoiding landfill and Reskinned ranges
- Collaboration ranges may be subject to further guarantee terms

We're currently only able to offer repairs in the UK, so for any international orders we will replace any faulty item covered by our guarantee.

- Photos of any issues are really helpful for our team to resolve any claim for you
- Alternatively, bring your item into one of our stores and speak to a member of our Retail team
- Any returns, repairs or replacement shipping will be completely free of charge
- If a repair is needed, our turnaround time for repairs is 4 weeks and may vary during peak times
