Finisterre is committed to making blue spaces safe for every body. We aren’t just imagining a more inclusive surf culture but actively working hard to contribute towards building that future into a reality. By proudly learning how to become a trusted forever ally to our LGBTQIA+ surfers, we want to wipe out discrimination in the water.
Introducing QSC
Queer Surf Club (QSC), a global community of LGBTQIA+ surfers (and their allies) on a mission to make surfing more inclusive.
We have been working with the QSC to increase visibility and amplify queer voices by sharing experiences from the community.
Barriers To Getting In:
Community Census
Participate in our community census and help us break down the barriers to accessing blue spaces.
We aim to gather your insights to understand better what stands in the way of lesser-represented surf community members and contribute to building a body-positive, inclusive perception of surfing that reflects the breadth of the community. We hope that by improving visibility and highlighting issues, we can begin to take actions that enhance safety and inclusion on our waves.

Pride T-Shirt Design Commission
