Our warmest wetsuit, built for the coldest months of winter. Yulex Pure® natural rubber 5mm hooded suit for 7-11℃ sea temperatures, now with updated taped seams. Built-in hood and front entry chest zip create a tight fit to prevent flushing, whilst the thicker 6.5mm high pile chest and back panelling help retain core warmth, keeping you in the water for longer.
Since 2021, all our wetsuits are made using Yulex® natural rubber - producing up to 80% less CO2 than using traditional neoprene without compromising on performance, and furthering our commitment to protect our ocean playgrounds.
Tight fit when new and will loosen slightly after 10-15 wears.
Constructed with industry-leading performance features.
For additional heat retention our 5mm, 4mm & 3mm wetsuits have a high internal pile and thicker patches on the chest and lower back to maintain core warmth and keep you out for longer.
Made to last multiple seasons, our cold water wetsuits feature double blind stitching throughout, as well as taped seams to keep the cold out and your body heat in.
From outer laminates to internal linings we use 100% recycled polyester, blended with spandex for sustainable construction with that touch of stretch to keep you flexible.
Tension wristbands maintain a tight fit to prevent flushing, and the bespoke ankle loops on our 4mm and 5mm wetsuits aid easy entry when fumbling with frozen fingers.
All our wetsuits are laminated using AquaA™; a solvent-free adhesive that eliminates Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), without compromising on performance or durability.
A cleaner alternative to toxic neoprene. Manufacturing our wetsuits with Yulex Pure produces up to 80% less CO2 than neoprene, without compromising on performance.
The ocean needs us to act now. We believe everyone can play their part in making a difference.

great design and quality
I bought this for east coast Scotland winter surfing and it’s exactly what I need - well fitting (I’m 6’2” and 85kg using a MT), well made and plenty warm and flexible. There was an issue with the taping on the first suit I received but Finisterre sorted me out with an immediate replacement.
The size guide for the men's wetsuit isn't great. I purchased according to the size guide and find the wetsuit too small. I was advised it will be tight to start with - I have 30+ years of wetsuit wearing experience - so trusted this advice. That is normal. A size up would have stretched to have been too much. Once I struggled to get into the suit, and it is a big struggle, it fit like I would expect. However, in the surf it stayed far too constrictive. Give it time. Well, I have and it is nowhere near as flexible as other materials and remains uncomfortable. Yes, it is warm but by god it is a bugger to get in and out of still. I gave it an extra star for warmth and build quality. I believed the hype. The marketing worked. But I'm not going to recommend this suit. The performance and sizing is out. Also, the information on wetsuit thickness etc. on the website is a debacle. I worked it out, but the information text is different in different places. Total let down, to be honest.
This is my 4th Finisterre wetsuit, quality is still there.
I have the Men's Nieuwland 5mm Yulex Hooded Wetsuit - it's my first Finisterre wetsuit and my first Yulex suit. I've worn it about half a dozen times so far and the fit is really good (I'm a medium), the build quality is great, it's comfortable and super warm - the built in hood is great for pushing through those cold winter waves. Best of all it's made from plant based Yulex - I'm hoping Finisterre add to their range of wetsuits. Good price too. In simple terms - quality winter wetsuit from a sustainable business.
Go Finisterre!
