Taking over from our much loved Hegen Fleece range, the Portell Wool 1/4 Zip Fleece is made of a premium recycled wool blend made in Italy. In a quarter-zip pullover style, the Portell brings together all the natural warmth and breathability benefits of wool with the style and hardiness of a classic fleece.

Wore this walking up Ilkley Moor with my son at the weekend. He’s four so the pace wasn’t quick and my body wasn’t generating its typical heat. This fleece provided ample warmth while still letting the breeze through. It’s warm when you get moving.
Only thing I don’t really like is the collar - it point inwards, rather than pointing upright / vertically, which would be my preference. Not a big deal though.
I’m 5’11”, 82kg and chose a medium which was perfect.
