Unless I'm out running, I don't standardly wear shorts and I nearly sent these back when they came, but after 10 minutes I decided I loved them and have worn them everyday since! ( I did try ordering a different colour too but my size was sold out). Finisterre sizes are on the generous size but I got the 26" and, if you're a size 8 - then they'll probably be about right for you too. I'm 5'3 ( short legs) and the length of these is great.
