We believe that the most sustainable product is the one you already own. That’s why we make it easy for our customers to send their gear in for repair – so it can live to see another adventure.

2 min read
In 2024, our Lived and Loved team repaired 2,095 items – a 39% increase from the previous year. This included patching 536 jackets, ready for another day outdoors.
Over the course of the year, we also:
-
Opened a new repair hub in our brand-new London store, joining our existing hubs in Bristol and St Agnes. UK customers can also book and send items in for repair via our website.
-
Introduced a bundle repair offer, making repairs more accessible and cost-effective.
-
Hosted collaborative repair events with Rerun and Incredibusy.
-
Ran 18 in-store repairs workshops with more than 150 people attending.
“The repair workshop was such a fun and creative experience! The team was incredibly welcoming, and I left not only with new skills but with something I had made myself.” - Repair Workshop Participant
Takeback & Resale
Since 2021, our take-back partnership has encouraged customers to return pre-loved Finisterre items to us when they’re finished with them, and for some items, we can offer money off new purchases.
In 2024, we made it even easier by introducing drop-off points in all stores, alongside our online option.
-
If an item still has life left, it’s resold through Reskinned as a pre-loved piece.
-
If it’s beyond repair, they disassemble what they can for spare parts to repair other garments. Anything left is sent to their trusted recycling partners.
-
Where no responsible route currently exists, they’re holding onto it while they continue to search for a better solution.
This year, we took back 1,225 items, both online and in-store, and found new homes for 2,277 pre-loved pieces via Reskinned - keeping products out of landfill, extending their lifespan, and reducing our environmental footprint.
