Designed in collaboration with Amy Powney, this capsule collection is made to bring you closer to the sea, wherever you are in the world. Designed with a distinctive drop cable yoke shaping into the neck and oversized balloon shaping on the sleeves, it creates a modern silhouette that's both stylish and supremely comfortable. With traditional cable stitches inspired by designs worn by seafarers around the UK for centuries, this chunky Aran knit sweater is a true hero piece to carry you through the season.

I love most things about this jersey. 5 stars for the wool which is 100% merino of superb quality. Warm, soft but strong & not itchy. I don’t like mixed fibres so the pure wool is perfect. 5 stars for the quality of the knit, the cable pattern and the thickness. This will be a super warm jumper. V good colour, a deep brownish red. Sadly I did have to return for two reasons. First, I don’t like the collar…I would much prefer a full roll neck. This one I find is less flattering and it sticks into my neck so would irritate. Second, despite this being pretty much the same cut as my Amy Powney roll neck it doesn’t hang in the same way due to the structure of the thick cable knit pattern. Therefore I found it made me look short and dumpy. I’m a size 8/10. I’m 5 foot 5 but the square stiff shape made me look short and round. My roll neck is a thinner knit (still chunky & warm) and drapes much more so it looks lovely. I’m so sad to be sending this one back. But I would definitely recommend giving it a try as it could look great on you…especially if you’re tall enough to carry it off.. Meanwhile Finisterre please, please, please do the Amy Powney roll neck in some other colours . Deep rich ones like this and blues and greens (you’ve got a fab teal turquoise/green on one of your other jerseys at the moment…would love that in a roll neck). Also please keep the 100% merino ..I don’t like even a small percentage of manmade fibres…I can tell immediately. 🙏🥰
