I’ve never owned a large coat before. I would usually wear layers. I couldn’t tell you why I chose to try an insulated parka , but I’m glad I have. It’s great to have the warmth without having to layer up , and have room for at least a thick jumper or fleece for when the temperature drops. I’m a big man at 6’ 2” and 17st. This coat is a great fit. I can’t vouch for the waterproofing in a real downpour for a long day , but it has performed well in light rain for a decent timed walk. All in all I’m really pleased with my purchase.
