The RNLI Polperro Sweater is a quintessentially British fisherman knit, inspired by traditional Gansey Sweaters made on Cornwall’s South Coast.
A true heritage inspired piece, these were traditionally knitted by fishermen's wives to keep them warm at sea. Hard wearing and tightly knitted to resist sea spray and wind, the patterns represent waves, ropes and ladders, telling stories handed down through generations. In a relaxed fit this jumper is a wardrobe staple for everyday adventures.
