Constructed from the same tough organic cotton canvas as the rest of the Basset range, this jacket is built for both the workshop and the weekend. It features a boxier, more contemporary fit that can be adjusted via the waist tabs for a custom feel. Functional utility details include double chest pockets, lower hand pockets, and metal rivet reinforcements at key stress points. Finished with a heavy-duty metal button front, it’s a versatile, hard-wearing layer that’s ready for whatever the day has in store.

The Basset Trucker is a high-quality jacket with neat and well-considered features. The fabric is spot on – it feels really tough but in a weight that blends longevity with refinement and comfort. Attention to detail is first class, with a handy press-stud secured chest pocket that fits a phone, along with a Napoleon-style pocket that holds a card wallet or sunglasses.
The garment sizing aligns with other Finisterre garments that I have – I'm a large in the Coho sweatshirt and the same size in the Basset Trucker jacket. I've worn it with a T-shirt underneath but there's also room for a lightweight jumper or sweatshirt.
