Durable, comfortable and quick drying
I reckon I have worn these shorts more than anyone else in the world, so here is an honest and impartial review after 12 months of constant use.
I packed these as my one pair of surf/beach shorts during a 12 month trip around the world trip, and wore them for surfing, yoga, snorkelling, sitting on 16hr bus trips and everything else in between
WEAR: the shorts are still in great condition today, they have faded a bit and the white detailing on the side has also peeled away (I actually prefer the black detailing it has now left underneath). I can still wear them and they don’t look ragged or sun bleached
FIT:The shirts are comfortable, quick drying and the fit is spot on (not over the knee and not like a 70s short short). They are very minimal and the only pocket is a small internal flap you can store money/scooter key or a credit card but it can be prone to stuff falling out. Very comfy in the surf and didn’t get pulled off in any wipeouts
COST: I think they cost around £60 which was expensive, but after wearing them flat out they have proved to be worth every penny. No repairs needed (my one other pair of a different company’s shorts needed two repair jobs during the 12 months, and they were mainly used for dry activities)
OVERALL: if you want a lightweight navy pair of shorts with minimal features to be used in the surf or around the world, then you’ve come to the right place. 9.5/10
And no I don’t get paid anything or have any relationship to Finisterre, their…
