This is a great jacket. I was looking at this jacket or a north face McMurdo jacket. I am very glad I went with the Finisterre one!
Good:
- Very warm, I haven’t tried it below 0, but in 0-5 it’s warm enough to wear just a T-Shirt underneath.
- Very waterproof, needed in the UK winters
- Looks good, I went with the charcoal one, (I tried the brown one on and the colour was not quite right for me), the contrast lining and shearling hood look great
Bad:
- Zip, not a problem really but the zip feels too small, I think they should consider making it a bit bigger. I should say it hasn’t failed or anything but feels a bit flimsy compared to the rest of the jacket which is very high quality
- Hood personally for me I don’t like hoods. I would love them to make a version which just has a high collar with the shearling lining
I’m 183cm and 85kg (Average/Stocky) - I tried on medium it fit and felt tailored but thought the large was better and would recommend that over medium in my case
