I absolutely love everything about this jacket - the style, fit, colour, features and quality. It’s more heavy-duty than I was expecting (and doesn’t pack down particularly small), but this only enhances the feeling that you have an effective barrier against the rain. It’s also a very versatile jacket which is suited to everything from all-day hikes to wandering around town. I like it so much I actually look forward to rainy days!
Love this jacket. It’s a lovely material, packs pretty small (into its hood) and has stood up to some pretty decent rain and some scrambling across flint and through bushes (with a bit of care) whilst fishing and walking.
My only reason for a deducting a star is that I’d love some pit zips or other form of active ventilation for those days like we’re having at the moment where it has an absolute downpour but still warm. For me, if it had that, it could be the only waterproof I’d need which would be ideal for consuming less.
That being said, it’s still an amazing jacket that seems incredibly well made and does that impossible task for outdoor gear of actually looking great whilst being really functional.
I recently purchased a stormbird water proof jacket. It is very well made and comfortable. Although I’ve yet to test it in very heavy rain it certainly kept me dry in recent showers
Very good waterproof coat
